Nic signs with Professional Football team in Europe.
( July 1,2015) Los Angeles, CA. QB Nic Stephens has signed a professional football contract to play for the Franken Knights an European American football team in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. This team is in one of the premier American Football leagues in Europe. He will be departing for Germany on Thursday, July 2nd and is excited to began his professional career
Head-coach Erwin Rieger stated that he is very excited about Nic's playing talent and happy to add him to his active roster as a QB. Nic will be participating in this season's play through October 2015.
The southern California native played his collegiate football at CMU, Central Methodist University. He finished his collegiate career as one of the top Quarterbacks in the nation. Statistically he finished in the top 25 in passing numbers and efficiency. Nic passed for over 2,000 yards with 12 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He was efficient and often used his athleticism to buy time to find his receivers. CMU - CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY in Fayette, MO is in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Even with the limited weapons at his disposal he managed to earn HAAC League Honorable Mention Honors.
After completing his collegiate career he worked out for several professional teams. Nic was the winning Quarterback in the International Scout Bowl in New York. Participated in the NFL Regional Combine in Chicago and is now embarking upon his professional career. Nic is well equipped to make an impact on his team, the league and American football in Europe. We are looking forward to great things from him this season.
Nic hails from Los Angeles where he excelled at Taft & Dorcy High Schools, graduating with a 3.8 G.P.A.
